LVI: CONTROLLED ARCH ORTHODONTICS

This orthodontic course addresses the transition from growth appliances to ControlledArch orthodontics to complete a case after appropriate facial orthopedics has been completed.
Prerequisites for this course are Full Face Orthodontics “F20” Physiologic Orthodontics and Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders and Myofunctional Therapy (OMD).
Topics included are: ControlledArch philosophy and comparisons to conventional orthodontic mechanics, ControlledArch brackets placement, wires and mechanics, growth appliance review and troubleshooting, and tongue habit appliances.
Hands-on exercises include ControlledArch mechanics, FRLA appliances, molar pads placement and management.
There will be a treatment sequence overview from the records appointment through case finishing.
Doctors and team are encouraged to attend this course together and it is suggested to bring cases from their own practices for group participation of diagnosis and treatment planning.
