Support your Diagnosis with NM Data for Patients with TMD & Sleep Apnea

The physiologic approach in the treatment of patients with TMD and OSA helps achieve desired results faster and more effectively. This multidisciplinary approach uses objective methods such as electromyography and computerized jaw tracking. Regardless of the tools used to obtain objective data, the neuromuscular principles remain the same. This presentation focuses on the main principles of neuromuscular diagnosis, which are used in the treatment of patients with TMD and OSA. We are going to discuss neuromuscular treatment protocols for patients with TMD and OSA, which were developed based on a study that examined the results of the first and second phases of treatment in 267 patients with TMD over the course of over ten years after the completion of prosthetic treatment.
