TMJ Pathology: How it Affects Occlusion and all Areas of Dentistry

Video length: 2 hours 36 minutes

Temporomandibular arthropathies directly affect the intermaxillary orthopedic relationship and therefore interfere with occlusal stability. On the other hand, the occlusion itself is not a static mechanical relationship of the teeth, but an intricate neurophysiological and biomechanical phenomenon, whose secrets can be revealed by adequate biometric instrumentation. In this presentation, Dr. Matos will show how to combine imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance, computed tomography and nuclear medicine with biometric instrumentation to allow the clinician to increase the success rate and avoid failures in aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery and dental rehabilitation.
